The rooftop area offers nice views, making it a decent spot to unwind. The Spanish restaurant serves quality food, providing a decent dining experience right within the hotel.
Soundproofing in the rooms leaves much to be desired. I could hear snoring and conversations from neighboring spaces. Breakfast choices were quite limited and not particularly impressive, prompting us to seek better options elsewhere. The gym's space is ridiculously cramped, only accommodating a couple of guests at a time, with minimal equipment available. The automatic 'Do Not Disturb' feature failed during my stay, leaving me to resort to old-fashioned means of conveying my request. Finally, the laundry service was a disappointment, as my jacket was ruined despite direct instructions for dry cleaning.

Disappointing Experience Despite Initial Enjoyment
We had a nice start to our six-night stay, enjoying the beach access, but our joy ended abruptly. On the final day, we left the safe open and some cash was stolen. Hotel management showed little concern, leaving us feeling betrayed in what should have been a relaxing getaway.

The room was super comfortable with great AC. I loved that the windows opened up to a lush green park, giving a nice vibe. There was also a small fridge which was handy for drinks. Just a one-minute walk to the beach made it so easy to relax and enjoy. However, I did notice some street noise at times probably from the poor window insulation.

The Arena Ipanema boasts an ideal location just a few steps from Ipanema Beach. I loved how close I was to the beach and the vibrant neighborhood. The rooftop bar offered a relaxing vibe, perfect for cooling off after a day under the sun. The breakfast spread impressed me. there were plenty of options, including fresh fruits and pastries. The room was clean, bright, and had a comfortable bed, which made for peaceful nights. However, the service needed attention. My laundry got mishandled, ruining my favorite jacket despite my request for dry cleaning. Also, the communication from staff at times felt lacking. I had issues with a reservation modification that didn’t get sorted out before I arrived, adding stress to my check-in process. I noticed the rooftop bar could be better maintained. it felt tacky and wasn’t as inviting as it could be. Overall, I appreciated the stay but hope for better consistency with service in the future.

We had an awesome stay! The pool view from our room was amazing, and the beach was just a short walk away. The area was super chill, which we loved. Breakfast was filling and had lots of options. A bummer was the Wi-Fi was a bit slow at times, but overall it didn’t ruin our stay.

perfect spot for park views and iconic landmarks
During my stay, I found the hotel to be a fantastic base for exploring nearby attractions like the stunning Museu Historico do Exercito e Forte de Copacabana, which is just a few steps away, and the iconic Corcovado Christ the Redeemer that is almost 2 km from there, making my wandering through the city so enjoyable. the rooftop area is nice, but it could use more beds for the guests to relax comfortably.

The location by the beach was fantastic, providing a peaceful retreat from the bustling nearby area. The breakfast offered a wide selection of fresh seasonal products, satisfying various tastes. However, communication with some staff was challenging due to limited English proficiency, and the dining options were notably overpriced compared to local alternatives. Additionally, the overall ambiance felt slightly off in terms of comfort and safety during my stay.
